How the Yard Gard Electronic Pest Repeller repels cats (and vermin)
This device uses ultrasonic frequencies to repel many different types of pest, although you may wish to experiment with the dial settings to get the desired results. As you can see in the images below, the Yard Gard controls can be set to deter specific garden pests, from raccoons and rodents to deer and cats.
Unusually for an ultrasonic device, there is a switch to disable the motion sensing and have the device constantly on. Try adjusting the ultrasonic pitch until it has the desired effect. This unit will repel cats, but sometimes it will have to be at the highest setting. This is to do with the cat not the device!
When researching this cat repellent although customers were largely happy with how effective this product was, there were a few negative reviews. However when I researched further, I discovered most of these were people unhappy that they still had a bird problem on their property – but this device does not affect birds! It says it right there on the front of the box, harmless to humans and birds!
A nice feature of the Yard Gard is that if you have it hooked up to power and there is an outtage, it automatically switches to battery power. So, even during a blackout, those pesky cats cannot get into your garden!
This is a very popular cat repellent with the bonus that it also deters a lot of other animals, so if you live somewhere with more than just cats to worry about, this is definately the unit for you.
Customer Reviews for the Yard Gard

We purchased this item for cats. Our neighbor has about eight cats, some of which are strays. They would constantly come over and use our yard and front porch as their potty. We purchased the Yard Gard and it works FANTASTIC. The cats are no longer coming over and our neighbor is also pleased.

I had a problem with cats leaving their poo in my yard so I bought the Frostfire, it came the next day, and I set it up near the area the cats were using. That was about 6 weeks ago and their have been no cats since, great product that delivers.

I have had success with cats and deer with the Frostfire, what a relief that the solution was so simple, and inexpensive! So much so, I have 3 more now, to protect different areas of my large garden. Very happy with this.
